About Dumfries
Dumfries ( (listen) dum-FREESS; Scots: Dumfries; from Scottish Gaelic: Dùn Phris [ˌt̪un ˈfɾʲiʃ]) is a market town and former royal burgh within the Dumfries and Galloway council area of Scotland. It is located near the mouth of the River Nith into the Solway Firth about 25 miles (40 km) by road from the Anglo-Scottish border and just 15 miles (24 km) away from Cumbria by air. Dumfries is the county town of the historic county of Dumfriesshire.Before becoming King of Scots, Robert the Bruce slew his rival the Red Comyn at Greyfriars Kirk in the town on 10 February 1306. The Young Pretender had his headquarters here during a 3-day sojourn in Dumfries towards the end of 1745. During the Second World War, the bulk of the Norwegian Army during their years in exile in Britain consisted of a brigade in Dumfries.

Was recommended My Thia from a friend and my god was I not disappointed. What an incredible massage. It was very relaxing and cosy, my masseuse worked my shoulders and upper back as I was having a lot of pain in that area. She used hot stones which were incredible, the head massage was so therapeutic. I cannot recommend My Thai Massage enough! Will absolutely be back for a 90 minute deep tissue massage. The staff were very pleasant and friendly, they asked for reassurance if the stones were to hot or if it was painful. Can’t wait to come back :)
