About York
York (Pennsylvania German: Yarrick), known as the White Rose City (after the symbol of the House of York), is the county seat of York County, Pennsylvania located in the south-central region of the state. The population within York's city limits was 43,718 at the 2010 census, a 7.0% increase from the 2000 census count of 40,862. When combined with the adjacent boroughs of West York and North York and surrounding Spring Garden, West Manchester, and Springettsbury townships, the population of Greater York was 108,386. We are very happy with our kitchen renovation that StoneyBrooke did for us. The kitchen is gorgeous. Working with Scott Saurs was so easy. From the beginning we explained what we had in mind and Scott and his team developed the design that we envisioned. The attention to detail and quality of craftsmanship on our cabinets was second to none. Scott gave us a schedule at the beginning, kept us updated every day and completed the project as planned on time. Scott and his team were friendly, conscientious, and professional. They answered any questions we had and made sure we were were satisfied. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend StoneyBrooke Home Renovations & Design to anyone who is looking for a trustworthy contractor.
Scott runs a professional, detail oriented company. We had a 1/2 bath added to the second floor. Other companies we had quote showed up with one person and after a walking thru, emailed a short one page quote. Scott showed up with his construction foreman, plumber and electrician. A few days later he came back in person with a multi-page quote that explained everything he was proposing, broke down the cost and had a sketch for the new bathroom. Stoney Brooke was not the cheapest but we have had bad experiences using the low bidder. We were impress by Scott's thoroughness with the quote and chose Stoney Brooke. Scott kept everything on schedule except where we made changes after they started. His crew are professional, polite, and good at what they do. They tore parts of our house apart and put it back together so that you can't tell anything was done. The painter even came back to touch up a few small scuff marks and a couple nail heads that were missed. We are pleased with our new powder room. It looks exactly the way we wanted it. We are pleased with the whole construction process from start to finish. We would definitely use Stoney Brooke again and recommend them to anyone considering improvements to their home.
We are very happy with our finished basement apartment by StoneyBrooke. Scott is very knowledgeable and answered all questions. We had to make some changes, and he was completely understanding every step of the way. He checked in frequently always keeping us updated on everything. He even moved some things up so we could get my mother-in-law moved in sooner. I highly recommend StoneyBrooke. Their work is quality and great to deal with.
